Broadband noise reduction, declicking, decrackling and phase-linear equalization are handled with a stable of digital plug-ins including Sonic Solutions NoNoise, WaveArts, Izotope, and Waves Sound Restoration/Masters series. These tools in the right hands can result in a stunning improvement over the original sound sources.

The Gench mastering project rate is an all-inclusive package deal integrating a Class A analog signal path (read: tubes) with the best in digital limiting and processing. Providing an open stereo image with a musically warm and detailed sound that is simply unattainable via digital plug-ins. Includes multiple revision passes, if needed.

single pass mastering project rates
Designed for the more budget-conscious artist, the single pass project rate entails the same signal chain as above, but includes only a single mastering pass. Any revisions, if needed, are billed at $100/hr.

$345 for CD-length mastering package
CD premastering work includes track level matching, track spacing, track fades/crossfades, track indexing (with pre-gaps), and encoding of track ISRC codes, and UPC/EAN code (ISRC and UPC/EAN codes are to be provided by the client, but are not required). Mastering reference files for each pass are electronically delivered to clients in hi-res mp3 format (256kbps). Gench will deliver the following items upon approval (delivered electronically or via the postal service): For CD: (1) gold CD production master (in Red Book Audio format) (1) reference CD (duplicated from the gold master) (1) DVD containing DDP files and 16-bit 44.1K stereo WAV files track sheets and PQ log For vinyl: (1) 24-bit 44.1K stereo file for each LP side track sheets and PQ log DDP files insure an error-free transfer to the CD glass master (for the disc replication process). Inquire with your CD manufacturing plant to see if DDP files can be accepted for replication. 24-bit stereo WAV files can also be provided by request and at no additional charge.

accepted media formats
All digital media formats accepted (16-bit, 24-bit and 32-bit). All sample rates from 44.1 to 192K are accepted. Mastering projects can also be delivered via FTP or electronic delivery such as WeTransfer or Dropbox.
